Description

At Lazy Cub Lodge, it's easy to relish the beautiful Smoky Mountain setting. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom cabin has a large deck looking out toward the mountains, a sunroom furnished with plenty of comfortable seating and a large yard replete with a swing. Don't be fooled by the quiet, bucolic surroundings, though, the lodge is also just a 10-minute drive to the Pigeon Forge Parkway, home to dinner theaters, attractions and restaurants galore.

The great room dominates the main floor of Lazy Cub Lodge. With its towering, vaulted ceiling and large windows, this wood-planked room is a bright, airy space for enjoying good times with family and friends. On chilly winter evenings, everyone can gather by the fireplace for a game of charades. After a summertime hike, you can sprawl out and cool off beneath the breeze of the ceiling fan (don't worry, there's also central air-conditioning for sultry days).

The dining area is part of the great room. At least six people can sit at the table, and an adjacent counter can accommodate several more. You can dine outdoors too! The deck includes a picnic table. There's a gas grill outside too, so you can cook as well as dine alfresco. Of course, Lazy Cub Lodge has a kitchen too, equipped with a full array of appliances, cookware and tableware. Even if you eat your meals at the numerous nearby restaurants, you'll love the convenience of having a refrigerator to keep wine and juice boxes cold and the ability to brew a cup of coffee or make popcorn whenever you want-it's one of the many advantages of staying in a cabin rather than a hotel.

Another advantage of staying at Lazy Cub Lodge is the huge upstairs game den. It's so large that it has several “zones” so everyone can spend time together while doing his or her own thing. One area features a full-size pool table. Another is furnished with a TV and a couch that invites you to sprawl out and make yourself at home. The third area, with another sofa and a rocker armchair, is ideal for curling up with a book or taking advantage of the free Wi-Fi to surf the web.

Lazy Cub Lodge's sunroom might be the ultimate relaxation area. Oversized windows allow you to gaze out at the Smoky Mountains as you sip a beverage on a rocker or play checkers at the game table. Perhaps you'd rather head outside to the deck's rocking chairs or porch swing. A second swing is in the yard. Either is tailor-made for stargazing with your sweetheart-so romantic! Equally romantic is a moonlit soak in the deck's hot tub. Then again, a soak in the hot tub is pretty fabulous just about any time of night or day!

Along with three bedrooms, Lazy Cub Lodge has three full bathrooms. Having a bathroom for each bedroom means you can treat yourself to a lengthy pampering session without a line forming on the other side of the door. Two of the bedrooms include queen-size beds. The primary bedroom boasts a king-size bed and French doors that open onto the deck, so you can slip outside to watch the sunrise without waking the others.

In addition, two of the sofas open into beds for two, enabling Lazy Cub Lodge to sleep 10 people in all. Other amenities include a washer and dryer. Not only can you pack light, but you can also return home with clean laundry!

The ultimate convenience just might be Lazy Cub Lodge's location. As you sit outside among the singing birds and the fresh mountain breezes, you can easily forget that in less than 20 minutes, you can drive to Dollywood, the Titanic Museum, Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster, Wears Valley Zipline Adventures, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and Parrot Mountain and Gardens, among other attractions.

When it comes to location, comfort, privacy and convenience, Lazy Cub Lodge is tough to beat. Don't miss out, book your stay today!

Lazy Cub Cabin

There were a few things that needed fixed and we had to do it. Hot tub did not work very well. Remotes had no batteries. Light bulbs were out in 5/6 spots. Also many screens were all over the yard. Also very disappointed there was not a back up generator present. We lost power and therefore lost water. It was frigid temps so very miserable and we had to leave early. Many small things adding up to bigger issues. We expected a much better kept cabin for the costly price.

Weitzel Family vacation!

We loved it. Our cabin was at the end of a road and very secluded. It was peaceful and enjoyed sitting around the fire listening to nature at night. The cabin had just about everything we needed. Definitely would love to come back to TN and stay in the same cabin.

Great place, but suitable for 8.

Lovely place. Lots of room & privacy. Steep driveway if your vehicle doesn't have good climb.Would have given it a 5 star if the extra pull out bed would have been in the loft rather than in the living room, since the kids slept there. The adults wouldn't have been able to stay up with kids in the middle of the living room. But besides that, it was great! Do remember to bring extra beach towels for the hot tub since there are only enough for bathing. Also the Jacuzzi is small, the size of a regular bathtub. Bring flash lights for walking outside to the fire pit. Had a great time.

Not The Best Rental

This has to be the worst rental we have stayed at. We booked with Smokey Mountain, but all communication was with Jackson Mountain Homes. Not to mention all your information comes from VTrips. Not sure where to begin. Upon arrival, our door code did not work. After 45 minutes, we finally reached Jackson Mountain Homes for help. If you have AT&T cell service, you will have little, to no, service while at the cabin.Things that went wrong:1. Dryer was broke. Maintenance had to reach out to home owner and would get back in touch with us. Never heard a word.2. Kitchen sink dripping - Maintenance did come fix it.3. Leak in upstairs toilet which flooded the master bathroom. Maintenance came twice before fixing the leak. Did not clean up the mess. Guess having to take the toilet up caused a smell of urine in the upstairs bathroom. It was sickening.4. House had fleas, mainly upstairs and in the sun-room. Exterminator could come out but we had to remove all our belongings for three hours.5. Wifi did not work. Someone came out and fixed it.6. Kitchen is very small and dark. One light under the cabinet was broke. Maintenance looked at it and never fixed it.7. If you are driving a full size truck, it is hard to get in the driveway due to the narrow road and positioning of driveway. Parking area is steep as well.Cabin is beautiful, but needs some work. I do not recommend this cabin!
