Olympus M.Zuiko 40-150 f2.8 vs OM System 40-150 f2.8

Does anyone knows if the OM System 40-150 f2.8 is manufactured at the same place as the Olympus M.Zuiko 40-150 f2.8 (same lens)?

The reason I'm asking is because I suffer from extreme GAS and the symptoms have been quite aggressive the last few weeks. I just got the the 1.4x teleconverter a couple of weeks ago but it was not enough, so I'm thinking about adding this lens to my kit (I have not telezoom, bright lens and my birthday is coming soon) and I have been keeping an eye on amazon (europe) for some deals.

While the Olympus M.Zuiko seems to go for around 1200-1400€, the OM System version can be found (for very short period of times) for just under 1000€ on UK and DE amazons which is very tempting.

However, this price discounts are intriguing? Why is the OMS version going on sale so frequently and the old version M.Zuiko is not? Are they manufactured in different places, different QC control? I have noticed some recent complaints about the 150-400 pro quality issues after they ramped up production of that lens and I'm a bit concerned the OMS 40-150 is not as good as the M.Zuiko version or is more likely to give me problems.

Anyone with the new version of the lens that could comment on this?
